For multi-user support. ImproveBuild RBS should be installed on a networked server\computer.


For 1-3 users, the server components may be installed on a non-server networked workation that has enough storage space and memory to support multi-user access.  For more than 3 users, it is highly recommended that RBS be installed on a propeerly configure Windows Server computer.


Microsoft Windows Operating System

       For 1-3 users, Windowss 10 Professional or Windows 11 Professional may be used as the operating system for the RBS server

       For more than 3 users, Windows Server 2016 or higher is recommended.


Microsoft SQL Server

       For 1-3 users, SQL Server 2002 Express may be used as the database server software.

       For more than 3 users, Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher is recommended.

       For either editions, the required authentication mode is "Mixed Mode Authentication" (i.e. NOT "Windows Authentication)  where a named user and password must be specified.

Disk Storage Space

       Minimum of 1 GB of disk storage for software components

       Additional storage space will be needed depending on the amount of files to be stored on the server.
